How long are you waiting?  Zenoss needs to collect a few data points
before it will graph any thing.  It only polls every 5 minutes (by default)
so it could take 20-30 minutes before seeing any thing.  Also, zenoss
re-reads it's configuration by default every 20 minutes so it might take 20
minutes before zenoss even realizes you added the device (although
restarting the services forces it to re-read it's configuration).



I waited 24 hours.  In that time, I was getting errors that the files and
directories did not exist.

You would have to re-collect the configuration to get the Interfaces, but
again it will take 20-30 minutes for the graphs to populate.


To be clear, the interfaces were showing in Zenoss, they were just marked as
down.   So what you're saying is that any time a new interface is brought
up, we have to recollect the configuration ?
