I was able to get the network traffic working really easily on the client side. On linux it didn't involve anything other than standard snmp setup, on windows it worked pretty well for me too.
The graphs look (to me) exactly the same as MRTG that another group is running on the switches. I haven't done anything on the switch side though. I think anything that supports SNMP can be performance mapped, I think the trick with Zenoss is whether or not the MIBs RRD Templates, etc exist. That seems to be the major drawback with getting anything not supported out of the box to work with Zenoss, you have to write it yourself (not quite what my company wants me to do with my time, but hey, it is pretty new still... so I guess I have to wait). That's all I know though, hope that helps. ------------------------ Carl Van Arsdall -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=4597#4597 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
