Figured it out with a debug on zenprocess. I noticed it was "dropping" the event and therefore wasn't showing up on the dashboard.
zenprocess run -v10 -d testbox DEBUG:zen.zenprocess:fetching config DEBUG:zen.zenprocess:Updated configCycleInterval config to 30 DEBUG:zen.Events:Found device=zenoss DEBUG:zen.Events:EventClassInst=Start DEBUG:zen.Events:dropping event ERROR:zen.zenprocess:Process not running: fetchmail -d 60 DEBUG:zen.zenprocess:Pulled process status for 1 devices and 0 processes DEBUG:zen.zenprocess:waiting for events to flush DEBUG:zen.Events:Found device=testbox DEBUG:zen.Events:EventClassInst=OSProcess DEBUG:zen.Events:dropping event <---- DEBUG:zen.Events:Found device=zenoss DEBUG:zen.Events:EventClassInst=Stop DEBUG:zen.Events:dropping event <----- After I changed the zProperties for "OSProcess" (Events/Status/OSProcess) from "drop" to "status" it works as expected. I mistakenly expected this to be a default setting. ------------------------ George Hayduke -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=4893#4893 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
