Hi Ben; No, I'm logging into the server (OS) as root to start the application. It looks like the app drops privileges to the 'zenoss' system user as appropriate so I didn't think this would be an issue.
If you're referring to the web console, I am logging in with the 'admin' account that Zenoss ships with.
