I am attempting to set up a remote zenoss instance to gather performance data

Bullet point 3 says 'Point Server B to the correct database server' Is there a
config file where I can make this change, or do I need to start the web UI and
do it in the event manager?

Assuming I get the remote performance server up and running correctly, on which
machine to I run zendisc? Should the nodes on the local network of the remote
performace server be added on that server or on the master Zenoss instance?

Any information regarding this setup would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bruce,

You do need to set the MySQL server in the web interface. The MySQL
server has to be set to the server's resolvable name instead of
localhost.

I always run zendisc from the central server, then when I'm moving the
devices from /Discovered into the appropriate place I change the
performance monitor to whichever one I want it on.
