thanks for the reply, yes i ran the command from the command line as root, and as zenoss without any problems.
I'm still not sure why i got the permissions error, the scripts seem to run fine now when they actually run, but there are huge gaps of 5 - 6 hours in my graphs when the test is apparently not running at all. I think there may be an issue with the zendcommand scheduler in zenoss 2.0 and that appears to be the source of my problems, if you have any additional suggestions i would greatly appreciate them. thanks, Arlen ------------------------ A.
