Carl,

Sadly i feel the same way. I have been hurting my brain the last 2 days trying to get to a point where i can trust a procedure of some kind to get it to work. I have tried to do the install cleanly on a VMWARE of Centos 4.0 (the same OS our production servers have) and could ALMOST get it to work, but importing my configuration database broke alot of the GUI features and the graphs. I then hoped it was just a bug and tried to upgrade my staging Zenoss box and after i HAD to upgrade with from source because I would have had to upgrade my glibc otherwise, i cant get 4 of the daemons to start without manually, indivudually starting them after i do the "$ZENHOME/bin/zenoss start" command.

Even more sad, i cant even recover my data because it complains about the zport portal object exits or some crap.

So anyway, long story short, hold off until a few more post 2.0 releases to see if they get all of these bugs figured out.

And dont think im not a Zenoss fan. I wear the t-shirt i got from filling out the survey proudly at least once a week. :)

Disappointed Dan signing off.

I see a lot of issues posted, are there any success stories? I'm excited about
the new version and would like to try it out, but all of the issues people are
having on the forums makes me nervous.

With that... how many people have upgraded and had no/few issues?
