I presume you are talking about a Windows machine.

Try the following

For performance monitoring you will need to install snmp-informant
http://www.snmp-informant.com/ on de server/pc you want to monitor.
To verify if that works you can try the following command on your zenoss
machine: snmpwalk -v1 -cpublic hostname, if that command doesn't give you any
output, than performance monitiring won't work.

For WMI you will need to make some adjustments in your registry
In de FAQ on this site you find out what you will need to alter.
http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/faqs/faq-english/#ZenwinMonitoringWindows
To Test you WMI connectivity try wbemtest
http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/howtos/how-to-test-wmi-connectivity/

If that works you need to go into de zenoss webapplication en alter the
zProperties files for windows servers.

The following fields need your attention zWinPassword, zWinUser and
zWinEventlogMinSeverity
zWinUser is the domain user which you used in the wbemtest (zWinPassord is that
accounts password)

zWinEventlogMinSeverity tells zenoss which level of logs need to be seen in
zenoss. You need to set it to a number ranging from 1 to 5. 1 being most severe
and 5 least severe. If you set it to 5 you will recieve all logs from that
server.

That should do the trick.
