I'm confused by both explainations.  in the first division by 100 does not 
yield a correct value since the ssCpuRawIdle value is a counter based on the 
cummulative cpu ticks.  for example you would get a number like 1279735720 
obviously dividing this number by 100 doesn't make sense.  I can see how 
dividing the number by the number of cores is necessary, but still this doesn't 
yield a percentage.

I've seen a detailed explaination on how to calculate the percentage defined as 
the delta of the ssCpuRawX counter divided by the sum of the delta for each 
ssCpuRawX counters.

Is this expalination correct?  Is this how zenoss/rrdtool calculates the 
percentage for graphing or is it done some other way?
