Thank you for the quick reply. I figured Zenoss would fit the bill by its
promotion as "enterprise level." Thank you for confirming my suspicions.
I'm sorry for doing this, as I don't mean to be lazy, but I've just been so
busy trying to juggle 100 different things for this server deployment and site
migration project. We will be using CentOS 5 (x86_64) for all of the servers,
and the web/email ("client") servers will be running Ensim Pro 10.3 web hosting
control panel software.
Could someone please tell me the following?
What packages need to be installed on the central monitoring server?
What packages need to be installed on the "client" servers?
Does Zenoss reconfigure any services like httpd, sendmail, etc. when
it's installed? (Some of those services are "ensimized," and any
re-configuration could break the services.) So, basically, what I'm asking is
does anyone know if Zenoss is compatible with the Ensim Pro control panel
software?
We used the server profile when installing CentOS. Will this have the
dependencies we need for Zenoss installation/setup?
Thanks again for the quick reply. I really appreciate the assistance.
