I can help you with part of that, frist find the trap that you want to do something else with, and map it to something other than unknown. (the map event button from the dropdown) Someone else will have to tell you how to make a script run against an event class, but at least you will be able to sort things this way.
As for the notifications, go to Settings, Users, USERID, Administered Objects and add in the device that you want to notify you when in alarm. Add in the entire device name.
