It looks like they broke it when moving away from a 'sudo' requirement. There is a 'zensocket' setuid binary that appears to open a socket and then drop privs to zenoss user. dschrock wrote: > Never run these apps as root. I did some traces, no icmp packets are generated by zendisc, so it's probably a permissions issue...
