Well I'm a firm believer in the more information the better (provided my system can handle it), but it comes down to what kinds of information I can get using snmp traps I guess.
Mostly I'm monitoring servers (about 100) and not networking equipment. From what I know now, in most cases you get traps for interfaces going up or down, but is there anything else you can really get out of traps? A better question might be whether or not you can get useful information in snmp trap defaults (say from snmp or from microsoft)?
