Well providing you have the MIBs defined on the server, you can get alarm thresholds, as well as disk util. I also believe that in Windows you can get events from your Event log, app log, and sytem log. Also authentications and some more system health functions.
I would suggest searching the microsoft help site, for more details.. I have fooled with trapping on my home servers a little bit, but at work we are Linux only so I am not 100% sure what all you can trap against that would be useful to you. Normally I see, trapping against logins, as well as state changes. Not only link state, but program state changes, and temperature changes. Also traps from external Relays for physical security as well.. ------------------------ Christopher Hubbard -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=9614#9614 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
