Well providing you have the MIBs defined on the server, you can get alarm 
thresholds, as well as disk util.  I also believe that in Windows you can get 
events from your Event log, app log, and sytem log.  Also authentications and 
some more system health functions.  

I would suggest searching the microsoft help site, for more details..  I have 
fooled with trapping on my home servers a little bit, but at work we are Linux 
only so I am not 100% sure what all you can trap against that would be useful 
to you.

Normally I see, trapping against logins, as well as state changes.  Not only 
link state, but program state changes, and temperature changes.  Also traps 
from external Relays for physical security as well..
