Is there a reason you're wedded to fedora? I think Zenoss is targeting
enterprise deployments, and they're more likely to be using some EL
product, be it RHEL, SLES, CENTOS or Ubuntu LTS/Debian. I'd suggest
CENTOS5 as a pretty easy setup.

Again, Zenoss won't install onto a Fedora server. This time I'm using Fedora
6 as opposed to 7 - I changed to this version as I couldnt get the Python API
working with Zenoss.
This time when I try rpm -ivf zenoss-1.1.2-0.fc6.i386.rpm or even with this
version zenoss-2.0.3-0.el5.i386.rpm, I get another bunch of failed dependencies
:
-------------------------------------------------------
libmysqlclient.so.15 is needed by zenoss-2.0.3-0.i386
libmysqlclient.so.15(libmysqlclient_15) is needed by zenoss-2.0.3-0.i386
libmysqlclient_r.so.15 is needed by zenoss-2.0.3-0.i386
libmysqlclient_r.so.15(libmysqlclient_15) is needed by
zenoss-2.0.3-0.i386
mysql >= 5.0.22 is needed by zenoss-2.0.3-0.i386
---------------------------------------------------------
I have followed the install guide exactly for Fedora 6. I have installed
OpenSSL to resolve these dependencies but with no luck. I have tried to
uninstall MySQL, install the client (./configure --without-server etc.),
install the server, pray to God, cross my fingers, rub my lucky charms, but it
still fails.
Any ideas are more than welcome.
Thank you in advance.
