Check your event logs and see if Informant is actually being loaded. I
have some machines that give an error and skip the DLL. I have yet to
find a solution, or find anyone with any idea, and informant doesn't
really give any support for the free product.
I think it might work to look at Net-SNMP, but I'd guess you'd have to
re configure most everything to work with it.

More specifically to your question I can see the following:
processor identification
MB hardware manuf. (if uid is already in the list)
physical disks, and statistics info
network card info
network service info
and of course status information.
