What you are describing sounds like something is broken.  What version
and os is zenoss running on?  Page 169 of the user manual describes how
to purge events.

Can anyone tell me how to delete events or history?  My dashboard is not
working -- it is empty.  I just finished loading over 100 devices and
now it's not working properly.  Other pages sometimes give me the
"Cannot communicate with server" error.  Other pages are slow to load.
I have noticed that I now have close to 55,000 debug and clear events.
When I try to move those to history, zenoss does nothing.  So is there
anyway to just purge the event database?

PS clearing cache or cntrl-refresh browser has not helped.
