an update for my previous post...i don't have time to figure out why it is broken, so i've just reverted back to the previous state at zenoss version 2.0.0. additionally, i removed the audit forwarding from the windows servers which caused the 55,000+ syslog events. so i don't know what helped, but at least the dashboard and other component pages are working again.
