I have been reading the documentation and am having problems integrating all of
the concepts. I am a previous SolarWinds user. I understand how to create
users and add devices. When it comes to managing the mountain of alerts that
we are receiving and make this application actually function for us, I am lost.
I do not understand what steps to complete after adding devices. There are
several default alerts that are making it to my email and cell phone but these
are not necessarily the events that I want to see. After collecting events,
what are the next steps to making this application really work for you? I have
read through the documentation and am still at a loss. Is there a step by step
template that I could follow to get these new concepts to make sense? I also
looked for some sort of technical books that might be available on either
Barnes and Noble or Amazon.com. It would be helpful to have a good technical
writer create some help for those administrators out
there who need further assistance.
