If by "register with Zenoss" you mean the little red/green dot on the OS tab I have to disappoint you. Zenoss actually doesn't monitor interfaces on a device. When the change registers with Zenoss it actually is due to our remodeling process re-running and then discovering that the interface is no longer available. If you want to keep track of your interfaces you would have to add the OID to a template and then raise a threshold alert if the OID comes back with anything but 1. You could then even run a script to change the status light on the OS tab.
