More information: It seems that the servers this happens on are usually in a "weird" state - the monitored server is generally unresponsive and not possible to be logged on. The msrpc-service is probably not responding in the expected way. And when this occurs - at least in some cases, the monitoring daemon seems to crash.
Zenoss Devs: Doesn't this mean that there is an issue with the error handling on your zenwin* daemons.
