Can you provide a little more information on the extensibility of the Zenoss model and comparisons of implementing a management system using Zenoss compared with something like WBEM (Open Pegasus).
One of the primary goals of the Zenoss platform is to make it as easy as possible to collect information from disparate sources into a single unified view. You can see this with our ability to take information from scripts, telnet/ssh scrapes, WMI, SNMP, XML-RPC and others. Extending Zenoss to allow pulling model or monitoring data in the way that OpenPegasus could be as simple as writing a DataCollector base class that wraps the CIMClient for you along with a data source type that does the same.
