I haven't been concentrating on the CIM portion for a while now, so there's not 
much progress on my part.  I might get some time to work on it a few months 
from now -- maybe. :(

   My thought was that the management of the specification of CIMs would be in 
a separate namespace (much like the "MIB" namespace), which would be CIMOM 
specific.  In other words, /CIM/<cimom_server>/root to store the definitions, 
and then any new devices (ie instantiations) would reside in the devices tree 
(with links back to the CIMOM server).  This would enable the specification to 
be separate from the implementation, which is CIMOM-server-specific.

    Does the above seem reasonable?
