You need to install an agent that will talk with your server's management processor.
On IBM server's it's called the IBM director agent. Once installed and SNMP configured, you will be receving alerts in Zenoss as soon as something is above threshold established from the manufacturer (eg when you have a LED indicating hardware problem). This applies to CPU, Fan, memory, etc. Last week I replaced a memory DIMM before it broke because I was informed it would be soon defective by the agent in Zenoss.
