I still had the problem where it assumed that the mysql root password 
was NULL.  When I performed a fresh install with the intent of manually 
copying the old (2.0.4) Data.fs, etc, in, it did prompt me to enter 
the mysqld root password, but wouldn't run with the imported 
Data.fs.
