So I am with zenoss user and I've several times that PATH and PYTHON PATH and ZENOSS PATH are exported...

So I checked in new ONSTORE mibs - that they are looking for RFC1212 and change it to RFC-1212

now :

./zenmib run
INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file /opt/zenoss/share/mibs/irtf/IRTF-NMRG- SMING INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file /opt/zenoss/share/mibs/irtf/IRTF-NMRG- SMING-TYPES INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file /opt/zenoss/share/mibs/irtf/IRTF-NMRG- SMING-EXTENSIONS sh: line 1: 12201 Segmentation fault smidump -fpython -p "/opt/ zenoss/share/mibs/ietf/RFC1155-SMI" -p "/opt/zenoss/share/mibs/ietf/ RFC-1212" -p "/opt/zenoss/share/mibs/ietf/RFC1158-MIB" -p "/opt/ zenoss/share/mibs/ietf/RFC1213-MIB" -p "/opt/zenoss/share/mibs/site/ ONSTOR-NASGW-MIB.TXT" "/opt/zenoss/share/mibs/site/ONSTOR-CIFS- MIB.TXT" 2>/dev/null ERROR:zen.zenmib:Failed to load mib: /opt/zenoss/share/mibs/site/ ONSTOR-CIFS-MIB.TXT

If you take a look at the command that is actually being run, you'll see that it is redirecting all error output to /dev/null. Try running the exact same command straight from the shell instead of through zenmib without redirecting error output. This might give more insight into why the smidump command is segfaulting.

smidump -fpython \
        -p "/opt/zenoss/share/mibs/ietf/RFC1155-SMI" \
        -p "/opt/zenoss/share/mibs/ietf/RFC-1212" \
        -p "/opt/zenoss/share/mibs/ietf/RFC1158-MIB" \
        -p "/opt/zenoss/share/mibs/ietf/RFC1213-MIB" \
        -p "/opt/zenoss/share/mibs/site/ONSTOR-NASGW-MIB.TXT" \
        "/opt/zenoss/share/mibs/site/ONSTOR-CIFS-MIB.TXT"
