It looks like it is not possible to change the namespace, it is hardcoded in the source :-( I'm not a C++ coder, so I really don't know what changes need to be made to make this an argument:
152 result = WBEM_ConnectServer(ctx, args.hostname, "root\\cimv2", 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, &pWS); "root\\cimv2" needs to be something like args.namespace. I did email the dev listed in the source...hopefully it is an easy change.
