Which version of Solaris 10 Release are you using? In the latest release of Solaris 10 it is not called SNMP but..SMA (Solaris System ManagementAgent)
If its the latest version you can do the following: Check if the SMA (Solaris System ManagementAgent) service is there and the state of it... svcs -a | grep sma 1. As root, start the SMAservice. svcadm enable svc:/application/management/sma:default 2. As root, restart the SMAservice. svcadm restart svc:/application/management/sma:default 3. As root, stop the SMAservice. svcadm disable svc:/application/management/sma:default OLDER Version may require you to do: [I can confirm this if you want] cd /etc/rc3.d ln -s ../init.d/init.sma S82initsma ./S82initsma start ------------------------ Binny R -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=11354#11354 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
