I guess resize2fs would work from any live cd that can detect the disks used in 
the appliance. Isn't the file system plain EXT3? How can that be difficult to 
detect?

As I said I run it on ESX, after importing it from VMWare Server format using 
VMWare converter. Normally during the import you can resize the disks, but this 
disk has a red "?" on it, and nothing can be done.

I have come up with a solution though: I have used the extra unused diskspace 
(from the vmkfstools command) to create a new partition and moving the /usr 
mountpoint to it, as that one was quite large. I guess the same could be done 
for other mountpoints.

This is not a big issue, as I plan to install Zenoss on a "real" server in the 
near future...
