I have a server sitting in a DMZ that requires proxy access to get
to the internet. I've set an environment variable in the zenoss
path to push all http traffic through the proxy and wget/apt etc
are working fine.
I can't get Zenoss to update though.
The "Check Zenoss Version Now" button only updates the Available
Zenoss version. It doesn't actually update the system. To update your
system you'll still have to get the latest RPM and upgrade with it.
It does use the urllib Python module to check for updates, so
exporting the "http_proxy" environment variable before starting zope
(zopectl restart) should cause your proxy to be used.
