The Zenus Menu Commands "DNS forward" and "DNS reverse" are both resolving correctly for all of my servers. However, you are correct to note that DNS resolution is essential to get WMI working correctly in Zenoss. But this is another bug. There is no reason and no need to use anything else but the Manage IP for WBEM collection. Instead, Zenoss seems to use the computer name at some point in the collection process, which is stupid, because if you have different DNS zones this will get really messy. I suspect that zenoss attaches its own DNS domain suffix to the computer name, which would make it fail on all hosts that are within another DNS zone.
