Hi,
I'm new to Zenoss and also to linux, recently i tried to install Zenoss on
a Red Hat enterprise 4. But after trying for 2 weeks i'm still unable to
install Zenoss successfully.
I've been following the guide which asked me to use yum but this machine i'm
installation doesnt have internet connection so i download the and install
Xampp for MySQL and APACHE which i didnt have any problem but for net-snmp and
net-snmp-utils to install but encounter error. i manage to solve install it at
the end of the day (but i not sure if i installed it successfully) then i
proceed to install the zenoss-deps-el4.i386.tar.bz2 and follow by
zenoss-2.1.0-0.el4.i386.rpm but after installing
Zenoss-Plugins-2.0.4-1.py24.noarch.rpm i'm stuck with new errors saying i cant
installed due to python(abi)=2.4 error i installed 2.3.5 and follow by 2.5.1
but i cant seems to get it working i was told that i need to install 2.4 to get
it work so i did but i still facing the same error.
After saying so much all i wanted to know is, are there any detail installation
guide for noobs like me to work on the installation? Please advice. Thanks a
lot in advance.
