This is Zenoss 2.1.1 but I've seen it in previous versions: when I
delete a device that has a current, unacknowledged event, I first
get a CLEAR on that event and then the event returns. At least for
Critical /Status/Ping events; I haven't tested others yet.
Is the delete process not pushing some required message out to the
running daemons?
zenping is still an exception as far as the pushing of configs goes.
It reloads its configuration every 20 minutes by default. So it will
continue to ping a deleted device until it reloads the config.
