This is going to seem like a very odd question, but here it goes: I had an alert for a snmp agent failure, which sent me the email perfectly. However, when the agent came back online by itself, it auto-cleared and sent me the clear message.... then sent another one... and another... and another. Its almost as if it was the "everything's ok alarm" until I turned off the clear message in my alerting rule.
Has anybody run across this before, or suggestions for what may be happening?
