OK I did changed the config on the switch to this: snmp-server community Viprofre#71 RO 10 snmp-server system-shutdown snmp-server enable traps snmp linkdown linkup snmp-server enable traps stpx inconsistency root-inconsistency loop-inconsistency snmp-server host 10.83.24.6 Viprofre#71 (Viprofre#71 is the community string), it the other switch which is a test switch I use the community string public, but this is a production switch. so now in zenoss I cant still see the interfaces,what I see now under componnet type I see other and below It written Snmp an just right to it there is an orange ball (status).when I press the orange ball I see:
Snmp agent down on device 10.83.26.57 any ideas whats going on and how I can see the status of the interfaces? thanks !
