the last way you tried to do it is the correct way....don't know why that isn't working. You might try unchecking the "monitored" filter on that device and seeing if testipservice is listed. If it's not, try running Code: zenmodeler run
as the zenoss user on the Zenoss server. After that's completed, check to see if testipservice is listed and try everything again.
