Zenoss has been working fine monitoring our linux boxes via net-snmp. I am trying to get snmp to install and configure on one of our windows boxes but having a hard time. I installed snmp via adding windows components and added the monitoring package. After the install, SNMP Service and SNMP Trap Service shows up under services.msc. I edit the properties of the SNMP server according to my community configuration. Set my community name accordingly and trap destination for the zenoss server IP and localhost. I also check 'Send authentication trap', Add in the community name accordingly, and specify the zenoss IP and localhost under 'Accept SNMP packets from these hosts'. I made sure both services restarted and are started. I then performed a netstat -an and it shows UDP 161 is running. I then attempt to add this device in Zenoss and it tells me it can not find SNMP at that particular IP. I perform an snmpwalk via command line on zenoss and get a timeout from the host. I try a d ifferent method. I download snmpwalk on the windows machine and run snmpwalk on the localhost. Here are the results I get.
