Yes, I found that information too. And have since disabled pinging. However that is only half of the problem. I would like it to monitor via snmp and not just disable ping.
I have set up a new monitor and haven't seen a way to do this. Currently this is how it is acting. I have added a server that is not pingable using the noping monitor I set up. The system status stays up, and snmp data is gathered like normal. However when I shut down the ethernet interface on that server the server isn't recognized as being down. It does mark snmp as not being available. Once the interface is back up, I can do an snmpwalk like normal against the server, however zenoss never recognizes snmp is back up and starts monitoring again. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=15605#15605 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
