I have Zenoss setup and monitoring my servers and workstations but am anoyed by all the error messages captured when someone shuts down their laptop and takes it home. I still want to monitor these laptops for performance reasons such as catching disks before they are full and looking at what software is loaded via SNMP-Informant.
How can I tell zenoss to monitor these workstations but ignore them if they were just shut down or ignore them between the hours of 5pm and 8am the following morning? Can I create a rule or class that does not monitor PINGS or 'SNMP DOWN'?
