zenoss 2.1.2 on rhel5 Seeing an issue with clearing threshold events. My specific example here is with /Perf/Filesystem event class.
I have done some testing to push a specific filesystem on a monitored device (windows server) over the 90% threshold. I see on the device's OS tab the filesystem go to 93% and see the event in the Event tab. I go ahead and clear space on the file system. I can see on the OS tab that the filesystem is back to 89% utilization. However the event of going over the 90% threshold is still listed in events (not cleared and moved to history). Zenoss can see that the filesystem has fallen below the threshold as evidenced by the OS tab, and the fact that the count on the event tab is no longer incrementing. However it is not clearing the event. I saw that there was an open bug on this that was rejected (http://dev.zenoss.org/trac/ticket/2380).
