gentux, I see now, this way i don't have to create virtual ip for each device on a single interface since i can use the whole 127.0.0.0/8 network. Very nice.
Only thing I see here which would be an issue either way is the devices are going to show up with the local 127.0.0.x ip instead of their real ip. I could just add the real ip to the comments on each device.
