I'm running the VMware appliance release of zenoss 2.0.4 and the filesystem on
my virtual machine keeps filling up because cron isn't there to run logrotate
and clean up the zenoss logfiles, so I have several questions.

Did cron get left out/removed when the virtual machine was created? It looks
like some other things like "man" and "yum" aren't there either.

We're currently monitoring about 100 devices through zenoss. If I switch the
to VM appliance for zenoss 2.1.2, how do I dump my currently configured devices
and import those configs into the new VM? Is cron already in the 2.1.2 VM
applicance?

Would I be better off setting up a real linux box (rather than fooling with the
VMware appliances) and installing the centOS or Redhat package?
