Thanks for the reply. I took a look through the log and there is a lot of windows devices that "has bad wmi state" but the machine I am testing with isn't generating that anymore (it was but I fixed the firewall rules on the XP box and now it's working no problem).
I'll try the maintenance thing and see if that works.
