We are monitoring linux servers that have virtual ipsec tunnel interfaces (tun0) and zenoss shows beautiful perf diagrams for these interfaces. However, we get frequent events on these tunnel interfaces, saying that "hreshold of Utilization 75 perc exceeded: current value xxx" when traffic exceeds about 1Mbit/s, which is way to low, because these tunnel interfaces are able to support 100Mbit/s
Zenoss shows tun0 speed as "unknown", which is correct, because strictly speaking a virtual interface does not have a maximum physical speed limit. I think zenoss should not trigger any ThresholdExceeded events on interfaces without known interface speeds. Does anyone have a solution to this?
