So I spoke too soon. This happened to me today. - Restarted everything and removed .zec recovered most but 6 machines. - Restarted zeneprfsnmp from web had no effect...same 6 machines still being reported as snmp agent down (timeouts) - Confirmed that the snmp string was correct. Responses were seen back from the system. - Modeling was ok. Same as command line. - Stopped zenperfsnmp from web. Started in command line as user zenoss. Recovered completely after 3 cycles.
I suspect something with the communication from zope or whatever to zenperfsnmp seems to break...state or whatever.
