Yes of course you can configure SNMP on Windows. I've done it and could gather statistics via it. Please refer to this, http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/zenoss-guide/2.1.1/ch15s07.html And when it comes to WMI.. I found that when querying information via WMI, initial connections are made via port 135 and then the information is flaw through a higher end port. This data can be gather via strace.
