Let's be clear here, Zenoss monitors primarily by doing SNMP interrogations, the transport for which is TCP/IP.
Without either an IP stack on the device to be monitored, or a working SNMP installation, you aren't likely to get very far. You'll need to be sure that you set a common read-only community name, public is the default but not necessarily the best move on public-facing systems ;-) I suspect as well you need to create your network definitions within Zenoss before you can really discover the devices on your network, so go to networks, add a network range (i.e. 192.168.1.0), and then once done, just select the tick-box, and use the "discover devices" option in the drop-down.. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=17990#17990 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
