I believe you can make multiple templates with a different URL to
monitor and bind them where it makes sense (maybe per device?)
To use the nagios plugin - did you read the admin guide part about a
command data source? I expect that's how you'd do it.

Hi Cluther:
I have installed zenoss for my organization. I have installed http monitor also to monitor several sites. I have problem with adding subdomains. Let me give you an example. I have added a device called www.example.com. I have a subdomain called books. So i have added the device as example.com and mapped a template which uses HttpMonitor. When I go to that template I have url option, there I have specified /books. So I have added two device names: 1.www.examle.com and 2. example.com. Now I want to add a subdomain www.example.com/schools. Zenoss is not accepting as this as device name(no IP is mapped). How can I add /Schools subdomain?
My second problem is how to add ssl enabled sites to monitor. I have installed nagios plugins also. But how to use check_https in zenoss. Here also I have number of subdomains to monitor. How to add all these?
Thank you

The same procedure should work no problem in 2.1 as well.
Just to confirm...
Reverted the files to remove the recommend fix and zenstatus started
successfully, all be it with tons of false reds. Re-instated the 1796 fix and
zenstatus wouldn't start. Removed the fix and I was back to a 'functional'
zenstatus but all the false positives.
This is easily reproducible. Any chance of getting a proper, supported fix
that will be integrated into the code base for this issue?
