I'm trying to use wget as described here
http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/howtos/model-a-device/ to change the
"Name" of interface on an old cisco router. The name for over half of the 276
interfaces are all the exact same "10/100 utp ethernet (cat 3/5)". So when I
want to create a custom report with multiple graphs, I have no idea which one
to choose...the only thing it allows you to select are the names...which are
all the same.

I've tried changing the "Name" for one of the interfaces with

wget 'http://admin:[EMAIL
PROTECTED]:8080/zport/dmd/Devices/Network/Router/Cisco/devices/MYDEVICE/os/interfaces/INTERFACE/setZenProperty?propname=Name&propvalue=test'

wget saves the page, and if I click on the "modifications" tab for the
interface it states
"/zport/dmd/Devices/Network/Router/Cisco/devices/DEVICE/os/interfaces/INTERFACE/setZenProperty"
and shows the time of change. So it looks like it thinks it changed
something. However, nothing is changed when looking at the "status" tab for
the interface. It's still the same.

Has anyone gotten this to work? I can add a new ip address successfully, but I
can't seem to edit. The documentation on this is very sparse. Any help would
be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Eric
