Ok...I am going to try and explain this as clearly as I can. I am having a strange issue. When I installed zenoss, the database was set to localhost. I changed this to the DNS name of the server to get away from a heartbeat error I was having. Now I can no longer connect to the database. Where does zenoss find its user credentials for the connection? I tried putting the correct information in the /opt/zenoss/etc/my.cnf file but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
Also, the user setup is MySQL is valid because I can log in to the DB with those same credentials on the command line. I guess I really just need to know where zenoss pulls its mysql user information from... -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=19198#19198 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
